Hydrothol provides rapid-acting contact control for submerged weeds and algae. Even works where there is moving water such as a canal or bay area. Application: As little as .2 ppm of Hydrothol will control algae when the entire pond is treated. For longer term control or spot treatments use .5 to 1.5 ppm. When treating weeds use .5 to 2.5 ppm. When treating at rates of 1 ppm or greater and fish are present, treat only 10% of the pond at a time. To determine lbs. of material needed, multiply the application rate in ppm by 5. This will give you the number of lbs. to use on 1,000 sq. ft. with an average depth of 4 ft. Double the dosage rate when treating areas greater than 6 ft deep. Restrictions: Water treated with Hydrothol 191 should not be used for irrigation for 7 to 25 days depending on the dosage rate.
